CSI maintains a Nutrition Information Service to inform Canadian health professionals, educators, consumers and the media about current scientific information on sugars, carbohydrates and health.
To accomplish this, the Nutrition Information Service:
- Collects and disseminates current research findings using peer-reviewed scientific evidence on sugars, carbohydrates, and health;
- Develops and regularly updates print and digital communications that reflect the highest level of scientific evidence;
- Applies key principles in knowledge translation to improve the effectiveness of CSI's communiations; and
- Cooperates with allied academic and health professional groups in the areas of research, education, and communications.
